Christmann Informationstechnik + Medien GmbH & Co. KG is a manufacturer of energy-efficient and resource-saving IT servers, desktops, and embedded systems. CHR emphasizes research and development as the company’s motto is “Efficiency & Performance“. Together with Bielefeld University, Christmann developed the RECS®|Box server technology used in national and international research and development projects. In addition to that, Christmann is a system house, cloud, and edge service provider with a large, regional SME customer base. Christmann is located in Ilsede near Hanover, Germany, where it was founded in 2005.
Within the eProcessor project, Christmann co-designs the PCB and does board bring-up together with Bielefeld University. Christmann’s contribution is the development of firmware and Linux drivers for all resulting boards and packaging and distribution of necessary software within a Board Support Package. Basic and extended tests are planned to ensure all components run correctly, supporting system-level micro-benchmarks. The resulting RISC-V microserver, developed within the eProcessor project, is planned to be integrated into the RECS®|Box server environment and is part of the eProcessor exploitation strategy.
